Melonare MWM-41-4B Review

The MELONARE 4-Channel Wireless Microphone System is what we are reviewing today.

Good quality wireless systems can get expensive rather quickly. In my honest opinion, you really can’t spend less than $500 if you want a piece of equipment with no problems. In the world of labels and condenser mics, this is just the realty. However, many places are on a budget and are on the hunt for good wireless equipment to fit their needs.

The Melonare 4-Channel Wireless Microphone System, MWM-41-4b, sits at a MUCH lower price point. It is a fraction of this cost. Does it hold up when compared to professional wireless lapels and condenser mics?

I was of the STRONG opinion you had to spend $500 dollars to find a good one but Melonare proved me wrong. Let us dive into it.

There are a lot of factors when it comes to wireless gear. Truth be told, you really only have a limited number of wireless pieces of gear for a live setting. The more singles you have the interface can take place. I would not really run more than five pieces of gear that are wireless. You can do more but you risk the chances of something going wrong especially if you have e other bands or speakers at the same location. I am very selective with wireless gear. Choose five things to have wireless and leave a spot for when something has to be wireless.

I was sent the MWM-41-4b by Melonare to try and do a review. I wanted to see how it held up. I began to use it at live gigs, events, and church. This is more designed for short range. It goes up to 200 feet. If you have a really big venue or church, this will not be a good fit. However, if you are a smaller church, smaller gig, this is actually really good. Many times, even at my bigger music gigs, we run the sound board more at the front closer to the band. This is really normal. 200 feet can go a long way. This would also even work for a mega church. Maybe, you have a small room, prayer room, conference, bible study, or youth group, funeral, or activity. Melonare excels in this kind of setting.

When I tested the MWM-41-4b, I found that both pieces of gear work really nicely. The lapel that clips on to a shirt, seems just a little quiet to me.

I feel I would just like a little more volume from it. However, modern influences are no longer clipping them on their shirt. They are holding these lapels in their hand and keep it close to their mouth for when they speak just like holding a microphone. I am a little older so I am not use to holding the lapel. It has a good volume over all. If you are recording videos, zoom call, or social media I feel like it would be great for this. If you desire to clip it on your shirt, I think you will find it just a little quiet for live stage use.

The headset that goes over your ear blew me away. I was really surprised. It has amazing volume even in a system that does not get very loud. This bundle comes with four lapels. I would tell you that you normally have to spend around $500 for ONE lapel. Melonare does it for around $130 for FOUR lapels. The audio holds up great, it’s a nice sound. I used it at a church recently that has had notorious problems for never hearing the microphones. EVERYONE said they could hear my mic. It was the best experience they had ever heard and I used Melonare’s headset that goes over the ear.

This thing comes with four wireless packs, four condenser lapel mics, four lapels that go over your ear, a receiver, a 1/4 cable to plug in your sound board or speaker, and BATTERIES for each wireless packs. On the receiver, you have 4 individual volume controls.

You can you use 1/4 cable to go into your mixer or speaker or you can purchase 4 XLR cables and send each audio signal individually into your mixer or speaker. If you are short on channels, this is a nice feature. I personally always like to use XLR Chanels because I know it will be balanced. However, if you lack channels, this can be nice.

Melonare has various forms that this specific bundle comes in. You can get one like me and have lapel, head set, handheld microphone, or conference. Before you purchase a bundle please make sure you know your specific needs. Melonare sells various forms and combinations. I really appreciate this. Melonare is not just trying to sell a product but helping different people with different combinations, needs, and situations.

I have only tested two out of four. I would love to try the other two. If someone is doing zoom calls, live music, speaking, social media, conference, speaking, teaching, and church. These can do such a wide variety of situations. They are really simple to use even if you do not have experience with sound equipment. It can be hooked up really quick.
