G7th Guitar Capo
Welcome one and all JAM Nation. Is the G7th guitar capo right for you? Now, please keep in mind I am speaking from the perspective of a guitarist. Truthfully, I was not a fan of this capo for many years. I had one and it was just not a great fit for me. I felt like there were better capos out there. However, I kept seeing them used by some of the best guitarists even in my own circles. It kept running through my mind what is it about this capo that people love so much? When finally, I began to use it on my electric guitars and learned it actually keeps the strings in tune very well!
Is G7th Capo for Electric Guitars
Electric guitar is different and most often not used with capos because it gets out of tune. Most people solo on electric guitar as well so there is no need for a capo unless, in my opinion, you play higher caliber music. More like a Lincoln Brewster style of playing, as in playing the chords while solo.
Is G7th Capo for Acoustic Guitars
This is really nice especially in an open tuning. This G7th capo works very well for this. However, I never could get it to work on my acoustic guitars and I still saw big names using it. My mind was going nuts! When one day, I finally started to experiment in different tunings like Drop C, Open Eb or Gm, open Bb, half step, whole step, or even inventing my very own. What I came to find, is this bad boy can hold tuning very well when in alternate tunings. I think it is an o.k. capo for acoustic guitar but I think it’s EXCEPTIONAL for electric guitar and any guitars in alternate tunings.
Which of the G7th Guitar Capos Is Right For You?
The G7th capo can also help you learn more finesse and control on the guitar. At times it can be easier to buzz the strings, or push the capo out of position. So, if you desire to get more control and finesse as a guitar player, play on electric, or in alternate tunings, then I highly recommend that the G7th guitar capo is right for you. Now, you really need to do your research. You do not want to just go out and grab one. The website, which is listed below, does a great job of letting you know which capo is right for you! There are many options. I wish they would send me more of these so I could do reviews off of them. I really enjoy them!!!!! Not the cheapest capo out there but DEFINITELY worth it!!!!
