Gruv Gear FretWraps

A Guitar Kept Secret

If you are a percussion guitarist or even classical rock like a Trans-Siberian Orchestra then you will want this little device. Not many people know about it but the Gruv Gear FretWraps are a must. Many brands will commonly call them a guitar damper. This FretWrap allows you to play those hammer ons and pull offs without having the added string noise that comes with it. Many may not think this is a problem when in fact it really is if your ear is well developed.

Percussion Fingerstyle Guitar

This is very helpful for a percussion guitarist not only for the hammer ons and pull offs but for when you beat your guitar like a drum. When you beat a guitar like a drum the strings can ring causing at times a lot of undesired noise. With this little guy you will have an edge. A great cheap and at times free way to get a damper is just to use a bandanna. IT WORKS! It’s a small percentage but everything helps. A lot of times it’s not the big things that keep people from being great players but the small things. Think about it? If you have the wrong strings, bad capo, wrong pick, poor tuner, etc… you could very easily go from a “A” class player to a “B” class player. Not because of the way you play but just simply because of your gear.

Just Be Simple

Most of these I have listed do not even cost much at all. You don’t have to have money for this kind of stuff. It’s my firm opinion your gear will take you down by 5 percent easily even up to 10. My professors always told me to pay attention to the simple things. Something may only give you 1/2 a percent but if you find 10 things you play 5 percent better. The very thing separating you from a good player from the best could be something completely simple.
