ErgoPlay Tappert Classical Guitar Support

The ErgoPlay Tappert Classical Guitar Support is really an amazing device. Many might be more familiar with the Guitar Footstool. This way of playing does come from the classical style. The purpose behind it is to angle your guitar and give you better tone while you play. But when you use a footstool it can look a little different. The EgoPlay is a more modern way of doing this old technique, and is much less noticeable to the audience.

I have found when I use the footstool they end up watching that more then me. The original footstool was a bowl that you put your foot on. I guess whatever your mom had in the kitchen. This technique does take some getting use to but the results are so worth it. What many guitar players don’t know is you play out of tune when you stand up. Now I know you cannot always sit down to play. You might be a worship leader and you really can’t sit and lead while you play.

Cons

The one complaint I have about the ErgoPlay is that it uses suction cups to stay attached to your guitar. Most times I don’t have any trouble but on rare occasions it will come off. There is a version of this that works with magnets. It’s super easy to install and DOES NOT COME OFF. It is double the price though. So you get what you pay for.

I Love the ErgoPlay. It does an amazing job and is the most adjustable one on the market. I wish they would do an ErgoPlay with Magnets. This is a great tool and will totally change your guitar playing. If you are looking for an edge this is it. GO get one today. A lot of the well known finger stylists use them or a variation of them because it works! If you want that edge you really need to learn this. People have used it for a reason. I do not always use this device but I will especially in studio to get an edge.
