Struggling to play barre chords on guitar?

Play your favorite song today (1 simple trick)

Are you struggling to just play a good crisp, smooth sounding barre chord? What if I told you that you could play your favorite song today with a chord you already know. Would you believe me? Let’s dive into it right now.

Joseph Allen Music here and we are gonna take a little simple Am chord. Except, something is a little different. Most people play it with your 1st, 2nd and 3rd finger, but we are gonna play it with our 2nd, 3rd and 4th finger. We will then slide up not one fret but two frets. This is just keeping the same old Am shape. Nothing fancy. Nothing different. We will then take our 1st finger and put it down on the high “E” string on the 2nd fret. You can play 5 strings down on the guitar. If you play from the 5th string down (the A string), this will make it a Bm7 or you can play from the 4 strings down for a Bm chord.

If you have a song with several barre chords and want to play the song in a key you are comfortable with check out this chart “Don’t Fret What Fret It’s On.”
