Train’em Up to Light’em Up
Daniel 12:3
“And those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever”
Good morning,
Where do we get light? Isaiah 8:20 tells us,
“To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.”
Isaiah revealed that there will be no dawn for those who do not live according to the testimony.
“But, If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
“For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; and reproofs for discipline are the way of life. (Proverbs 6:23)
“But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” (John 3:21)
“For You light my lamp; the Lord my God illumines my darkness.” (Psalm 18:28)
This light that God gives
“…arises in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous. (Psalm 112:4)
And as we practice the Word of God daily we
“…are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness…” (Romans 2:19)
For just as a person walks in daylight without stumbling His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path to keep us from evil. For
“…all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. (Ephesians 5:13)
The “…path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day.” (Proverbs 4:18)
Keep in the Word.
“The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple. (Psalm 119:130)
And the Word was made flesh in Christ and He is the Light of the world.
“For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness.” (Psalm 18:28)
Live according to what it teaches and eternal life will dawn for us.
“Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3)
Shine like a city on a hill.
““To the law and to the testimony” and “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10)
we cannot deny the prophetic for it is the spirit of Christ’s testimony. It is by this testimony that we will overcome.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:11)
What is the word of our testimony?
“if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved…” (Romans 10:9)
When this belief and this confession abide, God says,
“Let their be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:3)”
light’em up. Let your light shine before men so they may see your good deeds and praise your Father of Lights.
