John 4:14
“but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
John 4:14
It is a hot summer in Texas and with that comes the need for a lot of water. With this water, we water the plants like fig trees and anything one can think of. Days like this make me think about Jesus from John 4:14. Jesus tells us,
“but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
We constantly need water to survive. However, the problem is, once I get a drink, I quickly have to go back for another drink. I find myself always wanting more. If I do not return for a drink of water I die. I have to keep going back time and time again because it does not satisfy. Are you tired of running in life and chasing things that you think will satisfy but never do? Are you tired of always leaving, after you get your fill, but having to come back time and time again cause it never satisfies? The answer, for what we are searching for, is Jesus. Truthfully, we go back for water because it does not satisfy us just like we go back for things, women, drugs, thievery, coveting, stuff and whatever our hands can lay a hold of. We are always needing a drink are we not? However, Jesus says, if you are done with it, I have the answer. So for me, I have chosen. What is your answer? Are you tired of always being thirsty and chasing after things that never satisfy? Jesus says He is waiting. I can tell you that I have never been disappointed and I know you will not be either.
